About the Glasgow Internationals Hospitality Scheme PDF Print E-mail

As an international student or scholar currently studying in Glasgow would you like to have the opportunity to

visit a Scottish home and to enjoy the hospitality of some local people? We have a number of

families from local churches in the Glasgow area who are registered with our Hospitality Scheme and are willing to offer a welcome by inviting students into their homes to enjoy a meal together from time to time.

If you want to be involved then we would link you up with a family and help introduce you to each other. Any student of any background is welcome! The host can email or phone you to arrange a date that suits you to go to their home. Usually students are invited in pairs or a small group to visit a host, but if you prefer to go alone then that can also be accommodated.

There is no financial cost involved in taking part, and the host will usually help with transport home.

There is also no obligation to meet more than once, or to visit the same family - so you are free to participate only once, if you like, or to visit different families - however, most students are usually happy with their original hosts and enjoy getting to know them throughout the year.

If you are interested, download this form and fill it out, then contact Jamie Trelogan via the 'Contact Us'

page above.  When he replies you will have access to his email and can attach the form and send it to him directly.

If you have any other questions about the Hospitality Scheme, please don't hesitate to get in touch with Jamie who will be happy to help you. Thank you.
